Does God Really Hear My Prayers?

Before I came to Christ I still said prayers , but I didn’t really know if God was listening , and as I got deeper into my walk I understood why that doubt was so overwhelming. It wasn’t because I didn’t really think there was a God or I was mad because of the circumstances of my past so I just assumed he was covering his ears when he heard me speaking . It was because of my lack of faith that my prayers actually mattered to Him that had me questioning.

So to give you the simple answer.

Yes ! I truly believe God hears all of our prayers . We are  his children and he loves us so why wouldn’t he listen to what we have to say ? Right.

I think the real question is why does he say “No” .

Time after time you read in the Old Testment about how God spoke to his people and how he spoke through them . If you read the Book Of Psalm it will tell how King David talked with God about everything . When you are praying it’s good to know this one key thing and that’s you can talk to him about anything! He wants to hear it all mama . Your frustration, your exciting moments , he wants to be there with you in the sad moments and is those moments when all you can do is praise and thank Him! We are chosen by him on purpose and for a purpose.

I love these verses in Ephesians 1:4-5 “even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will,”

It brings me peace and should bring you some too ! knowing that he has chosen us , he has chosen us even before the ground we are standing on , before all creation !

So tell me how could he not hear us? 

Sometimes when we are so deep in our situations that we forget who we truly are and how much power we have but my friend prayer is what helps us unlock our power , do not be deceived .

Sometimes I feel like we pray and because we didn’t get the answers as fast as this world has conditioned us to think we should be getting everything , I think sometimes we assume God doesn’t hear our prayers but in reality maybe we aren’t practicing enough patience , maybe if we start trusting more in God’s timing we can see the beauty in the waiting , the peace in knowing that He is working it out and taking His time to make it just what we need .

I remember when me and my husband were newly married and we were trying to have a baby for months we tried and had no luck . If i didn’t humble myself to God’s timing , I would have just given myself an answer that wasn’t from God . Instead I recognized that 

“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.”(‭‭James‬ ‭1:17‬ ‭ESV‬‬)

God hears you . Just wait a little more. Stay strong in your faith .
