Hey, welcome to Every Prayer Matters Blog. My name is Justice Rodriguez and I help mommas like you implement the “How To” in a powerful prayer life as you navigate through your life as a wife and mother.
In today’s blog, we will discover why prayer is an important part of marriage!
This blog aims to help you see how your prayers set the tone for every area of your life.
Within this blog, there are affiliate links and such because I use them and believe they can help you make your mommy life more fun and well… help your self-care. Please note that this blog is about my personal story and adventure. I’m not a doctor or a professional to give you medical advice. I’m simply a wife, a mommy of 2, and a developing business owner sold out for Jesus who wants to encourage you in your prayer life because I believe Every Prayer Matters To God!
Imagine this …
You have your family’s famous cake recipe. It has specific ingredients that you can’t make the call without. You look in your cabinets and your refrigerator and you see that you have all the ingredients and you start to make the cake but then you realized you are missing one ingredient, EGGS.
You think to yourself “how important can eggs be ?” And you continue to make the cake without it, as you’re taking your cake out of the oven you see that it didn’t even cook correctly.
Now you’re thinking to yourself, wow eggs are really important, huh?
That’s how important prayer is in a marriage, you need to communicate with the one who created it to have it be done correctly.
“Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.”
Genesis 2:18 ESV
We are called to be the “helper” to our husbands. Praying for him, honoring, and respecting him are things that they need from us. As well as us needing prayer, love, appreciation, and protection for them.
If you haven’t seen the diaphragm I have below then here you go.

Just how we need to have a strong relationship with God personally, we need to have a strong relationship with our husband and God needs to be at the center of it for the marriage to be all that He intended it to be.
“And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him-a a threefold cord is not quickly broken.”
Ecclesiastes 4:12 ESV
Some resources I have used that have helped me are :
(A book of prayers for couples by Stormie Omartian)
(Power of a praying wife by Stormie Omartian)
These books helped me and my husband get an idea of what we should be praying about and when times come when it’s hard to even think about praying for each other, we have been blessed to have these to look through and found encouragement in them.
What I want you to take from this is praying for your spouse can be a beautiful experience, it where you can Intercede for them when they are going through trials, you can praise the Lord for how grateful you are for them and when things aren’t so good you can come to your father to help you remain strong.
If I could give any advice to a new wife, it is to keep praying, even when you feel like you should not, even when you know he does not deserve it because you know that you and him both need it.
“and let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”
Galatians 6:9 ESV
