Hey, welcome to Every Prayer Matters Blog. My name is Justice Rodriguez, and I help mommas like you implement the “How To” in a powerful prayer life as you navigate through your life as a wife and mother.
In today’s blog, we will be talking about how your prayers impact your family!
This blog aims to help you see how your prayers impact your family!
There are affiliate links within this blog because I use them and believe they can help you make your mommy’s life more fun and support your self-care. Please note that this blog is about my personal story and adventure. I’m not a doctor or a professional to give you medical advice. I’m simply a wife, a mommy of 2, and a developing business owner sold out for Jesus who wants to encourage you in your prayer life because I believe Every Prayer Matters To God!
To pray constantly only for ourselves is a mark of failure in prayer. It is in intercession for others that our faith and love and perseverance will be stirred up and that the power of the Spirit will be found to equip us for bringing salvation to people. (Andrew Murray, The Ministry of Intercessory Prayer)
As we are bringing the Every Prayer Series to a close this month if you have been following along I pray that you have come to the understanding that no matter if it’s for yourself, your marriage, or your children that your prayers are such a very powerful thing.
If you like me you grow up hearing time and time again “ Prayer changes things” but not seeing the fruit of what it really could be because even though our elders quote those words they never implemented the faith, dying to self, or true repentance.
As I’m on my walk with the Lord I can admit the more I came to know the Lord, then I realized that yes I was wash clean of my sins and starting a new but there were areas that needed some deep cleaning!
Okay, Justice so what does this have to do with the impact of my prayers for my family?
(Bible Plan: Learn to pray for your family)
(Bible Plan: As for me and my family)
When we come to the Lord and we surrender ourselves, what we want and what we think we need. The deep cleaning that he does in us is will help us to help our families.
- Praying for your family will change the way you act towards them and in return will change the way they address you!
Going to God in prayer for your family helps you extend Grace to them when it feels impossible.
2.Praying for your family can change the atmosphere of your home!
We can’t change our family but we have the power to change the things we can control ourselves!
So many times I fought against what I know now. I wasn’t allowing God to do what he does best and in return, I ended up discouraged, confused, and defeated.
“Then he said to me, “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of hosts.”
Zechariah 4:6 ESV
When I finally released my will in exchange for God’s and started listening to what he wanted I realize that it goes really quiet in my home because I let go.
