Hey, welcome to The Young Faithful Mama Blog. The aim of this week’s blog is to share some Christ Centered Shows For Your Children .
So let’s get right into it !
I decided to add more Jesus-centered shows into my children’s screen time after my oldest son Xzavier was almost 2 years old.
I remember sitting on the couch with Xzavier watching our daily round of coco melon and I sat there as my son danced and babbled along to the song and then I noticed how little Johnny was lying about eating the sugar and it just didn’t sit right with me. The morals and values that we wanted to teach our boys didn’t align with certain shows.
Another thing that I noticed was that the show was overstimulating for the older boys. so it seemed like a great time to start looking for more low-stimulating shows and also shows that teach them about the bible.
Some low-stimulating shows :
- Little bear
- Bear in the big blue house
- Miss Rachael ( Songs For Littles )
- Canticos
- Land Before Time
Some of the changes I noticed were they were calmer, and more interested in Jesus especially when we did our book reading. They started to be interested
in my bible when they saw me reading. As my oldest sons started to talk more they started to be able to identify Jesus and sing more bible songs. I could see how slowly they were becoming more open to building a relationship with the Lord as we learned more about praying.

I hope these shows will help you open up the conversation to talk and teach your children about the Lord. it’s such a great thing that we have these resources. so try switching some of the shows that don’t agree with the family values that you are trying to instill in your children .
