Create Your Own War Room Binder

Hey, welcome to Every Prayer Matters Blog. My name is Justice Rodriguez and I help mommas like you implement the “How To” in a powerful prayer life as you navigate through your life as a wife and mother.

In today’s blog, we will be learning how to create a War Room Binder!

There are affiliate links within this blog because I use them and believe they can help you make your mommy life more fun and well… help your self-care. Please note that this blog is about my personal story and adventure. I’m not a doctor or a professional to give you medical advice. I’m simply a wife, a mommy of 2, and a developing business owner sold out for Jesus who wants to encourage you in your prayer life because I believe Every Prayer Matters To God!

So let me start by telling you how it came about to be making a war room, So after probably my 5th time watching the movie War Room and going through big life changes. I got confirmation that was exactly what I needed

So first what is a War Room? A War Room is a room where you wage war against the enemy’s tactics by going to God in prayer. So essentially you would be turning that room into a binder. At first, I didn’t like the idea of the binder because the idea of having a “secret place’’ to go into and close the door felt like a blessing and is in scripture so of course, I was like it has to be this way or that way but after learning how convenient and how there was no difference from if I fought in prayer behind a closed door or at my dining room table while my babies sat nearby. I started to realize that this was a great opportunity for them to see their mama in her true self as a Child Of God.

How does this benefit my walk with God?

If you are like me you may also not have the actual room available or maybe you do and you just want a binder to help keep everything in one place either way this is something that will benefit either situation, the big picture of this is to :

  1. Helps you keep track of your prayers and who you are praying for.
  2. Gives you a space to start strategizing a prayer plan so you can pray more effectively and personally for individuals
  3. A space to be creative, productive and motivate you to pray
  4. Holds you accountable

I love this from an article on Life Savvy about Why You Remember Things Better When You Write Them Down that says

“Researchers at the Norwegian Center for Learning Environment and Behavioural Research in Education found that reading handwritten text activates different parts of the brain than reading typed text.

Your memory of handwritten words is tied to the movements required to make each letter. This might be what helps the memory of what we’ve written hang around in our brains a bit longer. Meanwhile, pressing buttons on a keyboard activates fewer areas of the brain, so we forget what we’ve typed faster.”

So for a minute, I want to apply this to when we write out our prayers, gratitude, and praise. We will be more likely to remember what we are grateful for, how good God is and the people we have prayed for. Right!

What is a Prayer Warrior and how do I know I am one?

So where I even heard what a prayer warrior was I was reading the book “ Prayer Warrior’’ by Stormie Omartian

If reading that your thinking “ that’s a huge calling but I can’t unsee what I just saw !

That was me ! But i urge you to pray on it and ask God if that’s a path that you are being called to go on . If you are called too this , this War Room Binder is exactly what you need if you want to stay organized and have a place to keep track .

How to create it , what will you need ?
